It's Christmas in Geelong and I am typing this on my beautiful brand new laptop that my beautiful beau surprised me with this morning.
Although it is Christmas in Geelong, it must be hovering around 10 degrees and both Jay and I are jumpered and socked and shivery. But it's so wonderful to be spending this time with family.
We arrived at sparrow's on Monday, and spent much of the day comatose and incoherent, but yesterday after a ten hour sleep, we went to Grammar and for the first time, I felt quite solidly that once, I had belonged there. It was an entirely happy visit.
We drove to Anglesea where Jay had played footy and cricket and then had lunch at the pub, sitting in the thin sunshine.
In the evening we went to the Mount Inn and caught up with a lot of people who all knew each other. I loved that small-town feeling of familiarity.
Today it's lunch with family and dinner with friends. I am loving being on holiday.
